Here’s a good example. It deviates An inch and a half from the original location. Why can’t people just remove the license plate frame? A pet peeve of mine.

Because people don’t care about their cars.

In Florida that’s technically illegal... Doesn’t stop anyone though.

Ever see the stickers placed haphazardly all over the plate, sometimes between the numbers/letters? It looks awful. Do like this guy instead, and stack ‘em up!

Also why don’t they take the old sticker off?

My ex also haaaated this and would complain about it every time he saw an example in the wild, and I never really cared. Now that we’re no longer together, I cackle gleefully every time I see one, remembering his minor ragestrokes fondly.

My first car had such a stack. In 2013 was the last year of the registration stickers here in Norway, so I took off all but the bottom one. It said 1993, the year the previous owner bought the car.

Here in RI, people like to stick them all over the plate to show other assholes how long they’ve had that plate.
Fun fact: my mom has had the same license plate number since the day she registered her first car about 40 years ago. My dad thought she would get a new one when they got married, since her plate is her maiden name initials followed by the number 50 (low digit plates are seen as prestigious here). He was wrong.

I swear, I think some people believe that they’re supposed to have one in each corner - current one, and three previous years. You see it enough, the behavior must be getting taught somewhere.

I remember when I was little my grandparents would always get low digit plates. One day I asked my mom why and she said something about how they were something in the Republican party where they came from and those people all tried to get the lowest number possible.

Then someone can come along with a knife and steal your registration sticker.

I peel my old one off before applying the new one, unlike 99% of the country.
